BENCHMARKING FIELD TRIP

A limited number of participants can participate in the benchmarking trip to North Sumatra. The participants will take an evening flight to Medan, Capital of North Sumatra. The field trip is optional to interested participants and they must register in advance to secure seats (flights, hotel and bus). The participants are requested to check-out their hotels on May 23rd. Our EO will provide concierge for luggage at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) We will also provide assistance for check-in flight and transportation from JCC to Cengkareng, Airport of Jakarta. Further details will be made available later.

There are two options offered for the trip i.e. up stream and down stream. The up stream group will visit Tanah Gambus Estate of PT Socfindo in Kisaran, North Sumatra. The estate has been certified for ISO 9000 and ISO 14000. There are a number of activities in the plantation and milling to be seen and discused such as productivity, sustainable palm oil, and corporate social responsibility (CSR). The down stream group will palm oil processing (oleo chemicals) in Belawan.
